We were delighted to have the opportunity to speak with Emmanuelle Sirven, a London-based interior architect and designer with an impressive 25-year international career spanning both residential and commerical interiors. 

 

A Classic Contemporary Vision

Emmanuelle describes her interior design style as "classic contemporary." Her approach blends timeless aesthetics with modern functionality, resulting in spaces that feel both fresh and enduring. Rural Charm Meets Urban Living

The inspiration for the beautiful kitchen in Emmanuelle’s Clapham residential project stemmed from the clients' vision of a charming "cottage feel." Drawing further influence from the “paved courtyard at the rear of the property,” Emmanuelle aimed to bring the greenery indoors by selecting a rich green for the cabinet facades. This choice was enhanced with the addition of cornices and panelled details, creating a design that beautifully blends rustic charm with refined elegance. "The matt bronze hardware was the obvious choice," to complement the dark grey window and door frames. The result is a space that feels warm, inviting, and perfectly curated.

 

 

The Art of Elevation

For Emmanuelle, architectural hardware plays a pivotal role in structuring a space and adding refined details. She often selects brass or bronze finishes to either complement other metal fixtures in the space or to create a striking contrast that transforms functional elements like switches and sockets into decorative highlights.

Versatility in Design
